Got this just before leaving on a trip to San Francisco, and wore it all week while I was there. SF tends to be foggy and cool any time of year, and this hoodie was a perfect garment for the conditions. I wore it almost constantly, since it is so unobtrusive and insulates without getting too warm. Made an excellent light jacket and layered easily and effectively under a Kuhl waxed cotton field jacket or a Patagonia quilted puffy bomber jacket. It is close-fitting, more like a pullover than a hoodie, which is great. I rarely needed to remove this jacket, even after shedding the other layers. The hood is not bulky and remains inconspicuous until needed. Although thin, the hood does insulate when used (kept my bald spot cozy when called for :-) ) I would prefer a looser-fitting hood, but that is a style choice - some like the close-fit better. This is more like a ninja hood, less like a Jedi hood. There is no drawstring on the hood - it's not that kind of hood.Others have reported pilling, and mine is, in fact, displaying some as well, but I have been wearing it for two weeks straight. The cuffs and waistband show some pilling, as do the pockets on the front- basically, places where there is more friction. Doesn't bother me one bit, but might be an issue to someone else.I recommend this hoodie to anyone looking for a lightweight, close-fitting jacket that can be used as a middle or outer layer, depending on conditions.I originally bought this is a large...in most brands large is my size and I have several other Woolly products that are large and fit pretty good. But this one was a big surprise...the sleeves on the large are easily 4 inches too long. I exchanged it for a medium and I find that the sleeves are still a bit long but the rest of the sweatshirt fits like a medium. I'd prefer a slightly looser fit through the middle, this fits like a very SLIM fit product. But because I like Woolly products so much I'm keeping the medium. I've washed it once and it still looks great. Another good value from Woolly!Worth itLove Woolly products -- this zip-up sweatshirt is a nice quality and a fairly light weight. The shoulders are a bit "dropped" but the overall fit is as expected. The sleeves are long enough that they need to be rolled once. Very happy with this item and would recommend. There's nothing like merino for comfort and long wear.I was sad when I got this. I’d hoped it would be polished and able to wear to work. It is not that. It’s also not great outdoor technical wear either. I’d hoped it’d be a form fitting, fashionable hybrid of both. Instead, it feels cheap. The merino is flat and dry in the most boring way. Also the cut of the neck is wide and noose-like with an admittedly nice fitting hood. I’d rather pay twice as much for a quality product from Icebreaker; it would last twice as long and I would actually like wearing it to work and outdoors. Return no questionFits well for long arms and long torso, and even though the hood is a little thin and form fitting it keeps out the wind just fine. It's comfortable and I'm considering ordering a second one.Comparable to wool jackets that are twice the price. Super soft, and warm for my hubby who is always cold. I'd like to try the pants too!As soft as can be and also very warm.My wife and I each bought one. Hers arrived first. By the time mine arrived hers had already started piling. It was a few days. Mine has since followed on the same path. We are using sweater "shavers" to control it. They are very comfortable. We love wearing them but can not wear them outside of the home because honestly, they look ratty. They are new, but look like we've had them for years. We have other 100% Marino garment that do look great after years of wearings. Something to do with this type of knit I think.Everyday 3 seasons . fit loose like i want
